Lifestyle Portraits – Homecoming
Yesterday the USS F.D. Roosevelt, DDG 80, returned from a seven month deployment. Families and friends were there for the very emotional homecoming. To help repay in a small way some of the sacrifices these servicemembers and their families make, an organization called OpLove Reunited was formed. Participating photographers donate their efforts to document deployments and homecomings for these families.
Here are a few photographs from yesterday.
The USO was there, along with volunteers giving out small flags to those that attended.

The big moment. Seven sailors aboard the Roosevelt had new babies to see for the first time. This was one of them.

Local news channels covered the event.
